HomeNot to start a gender war on this blog, but I find this roundtable to be so interesting, because I see these exact same discussions in common day discourse. It seems like we haven't really made much progress in common debate on this topic.
Well except for the notion of "women owning their sexuality", this I think is more closer to table stakes for society.
That being said, I don't want to really editorialize much on this. Worth a watch.
Some relevant context for the roundtable: John and Lorena Bobbitt
P.S: Ignore the youtube comments here. As one could predict from any video including Hitchens, it's a lot of lionizing the man (even though he plays really a small part of the dialogue, IMO). They are also carrying a certain agenda. Predictably, I think, they watch to reinforce their opinions through selective hearing of what Hitchens is saying.
I really like this: "Parties are a public service". How true this is! I would like to host parties, but I don't want to disrupt my roommates (hi!) too much, so I don't feel so comfortable hosting one.
The point of vibe coding a specific view of some FOSS software is interesting, even for personal use. Maybe I should try this, clone the GIMP repository, and ask it to make a very simple version of it. I suspect it'll just crap itself immediately, but I wonder how well it would work.
Here is Part 1.
