I really like her newsletter by the way.
I was talking to a friend of mine and he asked me:
"Why did you start writing a blog?"
Then, I was uncertain. But now I'm sure it's because of the newsletter.
It reads so conversational. So unprocessed.
I've long wanted to write. I've had many ill-fated attempts at website-making. I blame a lack of vision and wrong intrinsics.
But reading her newsletter, I then knew. What I wanted was for my friends to read my blog and to feel like I'm there, talking to them.
I want them to hear that the same cadence, catch that the same sense of humor. See my best qualities in my writing. I want my posts to feel so familiar, I want to be whereever you are reading this blog post.
But I also am chasing a ghost of me, circa January 2025. When I could always place the best words in the best order. I hope to see him every so often, here.
